Description

This box of balance weights has ten cylindrical metal weights with button-shaped knobs, and slots for eight fractional weights. There is a slot in the box for a set of forceps (now missing). The box itself is hinged and lined in purple velvet.

These weights were used with balances to measure the weight of specimens.
