British; famous for the race across the Atlantic Ocean from Ireland to New York between the British yacht "Cambria" and American yacht "Dauntless" July 1870. The "Cambria" won the race by arriving at Sandy Hook lightship first in 23 days and 5 hours and 17 minutes. The "Dauntless" arrived 1 hour and 43 minutes later.
