Original caption: "For diving into the icy waters of the Charles River last November to rescue an elderly man who had leaped from the Harvard Bridge, Jeffrey Hogge, 1963, of Vancouver, B.C., has received a medal from the Massachusetts Humane Society. The society's president, Francis Higginson, presented it to him in the office of President Julius A. Stratton, 1923, in recognition of his courageous action."
