Study for New Frank Gehry House

Contact us about this object

Description

“Although representing a sketch for a building by Frank Gehry, this lithograph is not connected to the act of architectural design. Instead, limited-edition prints like this one were made as commercial products for the art market. Galleries, publishers, collectors, and museums have grown to see the value in works by architects made in this way. While they might not have the same allure or commercial value as original sketches, prints are useful tools that can bring an image to a wider audience.” –“Drawing After Modernism” exhibition text
