Brewer, Given Ankeny
Maker
Homemade amplifier housed in a black metal box. The top face has a black dial with an arrow, a toggle switch, and a wing nut attached to a ceramic component. The front face has a dial graduated from 0-100, a black dial with an arrow, and three jacks (one labeled phones, the other labeled microphone, and the last one unlabeled). Two copies of Given Brewer's amateur radio licence from the FCC (one from 1936 and one from 1939) are in the amplifier box.
This object was used (and likely made) by Given Brewer, likely for his amatuer radio hobby.
