Description

Bent wire "coat hanger" sculpture of a man's head on an integral wire base. Most of the features are stylized and abstracted, but he has a distinctive mustache.

This sculpture was made by Alexander Calder and depicts the photographer Gjon Mili. Mili took photographs of Calder in the 1960s and 1970s in France and the United States. Several of these photographs were published in LIFE Magazine.
