The MIT Museum’s collection of photography is representative of the significant place of MIT in photographic innovation and education in the twentieth century. Available for study is the photography of Harold “Doc” Edgerton, Berenice Abbott, Gyorgy Kepes and Minor White, all influential photographic practitioners, researchers and educators who worked at MIT. Other resources include a study collection of American art photography created by Minor White in the 1960s, and a broad range of scientific and documentary photography from the late nineteenth century to today.
